JEROME

Kathy Gale Garman Patterson, 71 years of age of Jerome, Idaho passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at the Ashley Manor Assisted Living Facility.  A Celebration of Life service will be held later for her family and friends.

Kathy was born on September 14, 1948 in Oakland, California, the daughter of Lawrence and Gertrude Ruby (Gutman) Garman.  She grew up in the Oakland area and was united in marriage to Floyd Belknap and three children were born to this union:  Bill, Marjorie and John.  They lived in Fremont and San Leandro, California for several years.  The couple later divorced.  Kathy met Howard Dean Patterson and they were married on August 29, 1978.  The family moved out to Idaho where the children were raised.

Kathy loved to fish and camp in the beautiful outdoors as well as spend time crafting.  She worked at several places over the years, but all of her jobs brought her many friendships over the years.  She can be remembered from Ridley's, selling Tupperware, Idaho Frozen Foods (Flamless now) and managing Woods Cafe.

She loved spending time with her family and with the children at the Jerome High School as she worked in the kitchen.  She loved being a lunch lady and felt she made a difference in their lives.

Kathy will be fondly remembered by her husband, Dean Patterson of Jerome; son, Bill Belknap; daughter, Marjorie (Jim) Koll and granddaughter, Sydney of Martinez, California; three sisters:  Nancy Valencia of Livermore, California; Lori (Don) Cravahlo of Hayward, California; and Jackie (Leonard) Bullock of Tracy, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Belknap; brother, Butch Hansen; and sisters, Annette Garman and Pam Hansen.
