Lynette Yurivilca

November 20, 1953 — May 10, 2022

JEROME

Lynette was born to Louise and Bob Orr on November 20, 1953, in Jerome, Idaho. She is a fraternal twin, the ninth child of 11 siblings. She passed away May 10, 2022 in Boise, Idaho.

Lynette met her husband Arturo while playing a friendly game of pool.  She was competitive, sassy, and sure teased Arturo. He found her to be beautiful, and intriguing at the end of the night and asked to see her again and she said yes. Little did either of them know that chance meeting during a friendly game of pool would change their lives forever. Lynette and Arturo fell in love and were wed in Hailey, Idaho. Arturo was working in Galena Summit at the time, so they moved to Smiley Creek where they raised a family of four children in a very small cabin. Some of the fondest memories were made there. Lynette lived life every day blessed that she found such a wonderful man, her soulmate, the man that made her soul sing, the one true love of her life.

Lynette was only 68 when she passed away unexpectedly. It’s hard to say goodbye. We wish that we had more time. While we know that she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, there is pain and sadness. But even though she is gone, she has left the legacy of her love and perseverance. One of the most important things in Lynette’s life was her family. She also loved cooking, quilting, camping- especially the family reunion ones in Galena Summit, and she took pride in her flowers.

Lynette is survived by her husband, Arturo; and four children, Mike (Trish); Julie (Dave); Janie; and Lyn. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren, Andrew, Chandi, Trevor, Stephanie, Taylor- Shea, Tarin, Brandon, Blake, Kyeria, Monica, Jordan, Melissa, Aubriella, and Elias; and great-grandchildren, Maliah, Liam, Sophia, Isaac, Aiden, Petyon, Marlie, Teagon, Wrenlee, Whitley, and Josiaha; and her siblings, George, Marcy, Caryl, Josie, and Lynart.

She was preceded by her parents, Louise and Bob; siblings, Red, Dan, Tom, Roberta Louise, and a baby sister; as well as other relatives and friends.

This family, and her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother, was the most important thing to Lynette. This is where she drew her strength and left her legacy. Being with her family was what Lynette enjoyed most of all. Her love and caring for family remained her focus, and in so many ways, she was able to show that love to us. Her perseverance through adversity is a powerful lesson for us and it is her legacy. What a wonderful lesson she gave us. Keep your priorities straight. Keep that which is most important in focus. Love and care for your family. Let them know in all the ways you can show them that you love them. Don’t let adversities, setbacks, or any of the distractions of the world keep you from this most important aspect of life.

I think it was such a blessing that just before she passed away. Lynette was able to spend a wonderful time with us. The love she showed to all of us will live on and be with us even now that she has gone to be with God.
