Alberta Evelyn Eyre Beguhl, age 89, of Jerome, passed away peacefully of natural causes on June 16, 2025. She was born on February 12, 1936, in Amarillo, Texas, to John Ellis Eyre Jr. and Evelyn Hibler Sutherland.
Alberta moved to Idaho during her childhood and graduated from Caldwell High School, where she met and later married her grade-school sweetheart, Fred Beguhl. The two were married in 1953 and shared 68 years together before Fred’s passing in 2021.
Throughout their lives, Alberta and Fred worked side by side, owning and operating several bowling centers across Idaho and Oregon, including Bulldog Lanes in Nampa, Caldwell Bowl, Reedsport Lanes, and finally Jerome Bowl, which became a beloved community fixture for over two decades. She enjoyed traveling the world with Fred, attending auctions, and indulging his passion for sports card collecting.
Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; son, Butch; and her grandson, Andrew McFadden.
She is survived by her daughters, Katherine Denise, Christie JoAnn, and Amber Noel; grandchildren, Stephen, April, Shauna, and Brandon; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
