The staff at Farnsworth Mortuary wants to assure you all that we are keeping public health at the highest priority.
We will be abiding by the current stay at home order by the Governor of the State of Idaho.
CURRENT ORDER FROM GOVERNOR OF IDAHO
SECTION 6 OF THE ORDER PROVIDES THAT “FUNERALS ARE PERMITTED SO LONG AS THEY OCCUR OUTSIDE AND COMPLY WITH THE SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS AS DEFINED IN SECTION 8j.” SO ANY FUNERAL SERVICE IN YOUR CHAPEL, ANY CHURCH OR OTHER BUILDING OF ANY KIND IS NOT ALLOWED, REGARDLESS OF HOW FEW PEOPLE ARE ATTENDING.
During this time, our facility will not be meeting with walk-in clients.
Staff will be available to current families by appointment only with limited attendees. We will offer all families the option to make arrangements over the phone and via email and will be enacting an online option soon.
Our highly trained staff will be following guidelines set forth by the CDC and NFDA (National Funeral Directors Association) when responding to death calls and handling of deceased. We have implemented extreme measures to ensure all of our public areas are safe and clean.
Understanding that the current orders will disrupt many social traditions in regards to viewings and funerals for families to grieve properly, we will discuss options for immediate need as well as some that may serve families well in the days, weeks, and months ahead. We are committed to honoring these traditions, even if delayed.
Sincerely, Paul & Amie Swenson
