Alice Caroline Paine, born on July 12, 1952, in Jerome, Idaho, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, in her hometown. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and a zest for life that brought joy to those around her.
Alice was a cherished member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her passions were simple yet profound; she loved camping, fishing, and delighting in playing board and card games. These interests not only brought her personal happiness but also fostered lasting bonds with family and friends, creating cherished memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.
Alice is survived by her loving family, including her daughter, Lisa Carroll; her granddaughters, Jessica Carroll and Jamie Horstman; her grandson, Jesse Carroll; and her great-grandchildren. She leaves behind beloved friends and extended family, including Butch (Millie) Cahala, Ernie Cahala, Carlyle Cahala, Muriel Blank, and Angela (Mitch) Sherman.
She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Marcella Fitzgerald, and father, Robert E. Cahala. Alice also mourned the loss of her son, Chuck Paine, as well as her brothers, Steven Cahala, Robert "Bobby" Cahala, and Jesse Burley. Her best friend, Claudette, who shared many wonderful moments with her, also predeceased her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Niagra Springs State Park, 2136 Niagra Springs Road, Wendell, Idaho.
