Alma Diane Ramirez

Alma Diane Ramirez, a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 20, 2025 in her home in Jerome, Idaho. She was 53 years old.

Alma was born on March 27, 1972 in Odessa, Texas, to Maurilio R. Ramirez and Maria (Mary Lou) Ortega. She was raised in Texas and in Hazelton, Idaho and spent most of her years in Jerome, Idaho. Alma lost her mother at a very young age, she was then raised by her grandmother Romalda Maldonado when she became very ill she was then raised by Alonso and Goya Maldonado. 

Alma is survived by her siblings; Cynthia Pequeno, Aurelio Pequeno and David Ramirez, her devoted children; Benajmin Baltazar, Mary Lou Baltazar, and Jake Joe Baltazar. Her loving grandkids; Anahi Letoya Centeno, Pedro Alfonso Pacheco, Jackson Pacheco, David Baltazar, Joshua Baltazar, and Alyanna Baltazar. Her nephews; Joey Ramirez, Tracy Queme, and Isaac Ramirez. 

She was preceded in death by her grandmother; Romalda Maldonado, mother; Maria (Mary Lou) Ortega and her sister; Manuela “Nelly” Ramirez.

Before Almas health declined she was a loving caregiver to children with disabilities, she enjoyed caring for others and helping anybody around her. Alma was unable to work due to her health problems, it took a toll on her so she spent most of her evenings with her grandkids, she loved those kids more than anything in the world. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the family, friends, and all the support that they have received from the community. Alma will be dearly missed and lovingly remember by all who knew her. 

A service to remember Alma Diane Ramirez will be held for her family and friends at 2:00 pm Friday, August 8, 2025 at Farnsworth Mortuary & Crematory, 1343 South Lincoln Jerome, Idaho 83338 with a viewing beginning at 1:00 PM.
