Audrey Stoudemire

Filer- Audrey Marie Stoudemire, 94, of Filer, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 21, 2015, in Filer.  She was born October 16, 1921, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Frank Rich and Frances Voltz.

Audrey was raised in Buffalo and attended schools there.  She served her country in the United States Coast Guard during WWII.  Following an Honorable Discharge, she returned home to New York and attended nursing school and beauty school.  She married Ramon "Ray" Berg, and they raised two children, Mike and Deborah.  Audrey's working years were spent at Onondaga Savings Bank in Syracuse, where she retired after many years of service.  She was a real "people person" and never knew a stranger.  Several years after Ray's passing, she married Ray Stoudemire.  He passed away in 2003.  She later moved to Idaho and lived with her daughter.

Audrey is survived by her children, Mike (Cathy) Berg of Jerome and Deborah Fountain of Filer; two step-sons, Edward (Darlene) Stoudemire of New York and Phil Stoudemire of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Peter, Craig, Jennifer and Amanda;  one great-granddaughter, Alexandria; one sister, Frances Keicher; and many extended family members and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents and two husbands.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. , Thursday December 3, 2015 , in the Filer Cemetery, 2350 East 4000 North, Filer.  Audrey's family would like to extend a special "Thank you" to granddaughter Jennifer Rice and Nurse Mary Melendez for their kind and tireless care and also to Visions Hospice for their care.  Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome. www.farnsworthmortuary.com
