Barbara Zamarripa

Jerome - Barbara K. Zamarripa, 72, of Jerome, passed away January 5, 2016. She was born January 10, 1943, in Gooding Idaho, the daughter of Jessie Apodaca and Antonio Apodaca. She grew up in Jerome, was married and raised her children in Twin Falls and spent her final years in Jerome to be closer to her family. Barbara enjoyed all that life had to offer. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Barbara will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who was always there for her family and friends.

She is survived by her six children, Victoria Cervantes of Jerome, Norma Prado of Twin Falls, Mae Martinez of Jerome, Ramon "Bubby" G. Zamarripa of Twin Falls, Nikcole K. Zamarripa (Uriel) of Jerome and Stephinee Fernandez-Martinez (Serafin) of Jerome. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, Amador, Sylvia, Christopher, Angel, Crystal, Thomas, Martin, Rosa, Serafin, Sofia, Jenaro, Alex, Estevan, Bryant, Kyla, Isaiah, Damian, Claudia, Sergio, Yesenia, Benito, and Andres; 24great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Luna and Esther Contreras; and many nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Joe Apodaca of Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. , Saturday January 30, 2016 , at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln Avenue, Jerome, Idaho, with a visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. www.farnsworthmortuary.com
