Bernice Jo’n “Grammy” Laird
Twin Falls- Jo’n was born on June 18, 1943 to Elmer and Bertha Skiver. She was raised in Jerome, ID on a  farm and ranch where she went on to graduate from.  She then married the love of her life, Scott  Laird on April 18,1984, they were married until 2008 when Scott passed away. Jo’n and Scott  enjoyed many years of successful management of assisted living and care centers in  Washington and Oregon.    On July 20,2016  Jo’n made her journey to Heaven where she has been reunited with her  husband Scott, her daughter Tonja, and sister Erma Lee, a great grandson (Christopher) along  with many nieces and nephews.  Jo’n was visited and comforted by many close family members, always surrounded by love.  At  the time of her passing, she was a resident of Twin Falls Care Center. She was also taken very  good care of by Encompass Hospice. She was 73 years old.    Jo’n was known for her love in the Lord and was willing to share any chance she could.  She was smart, quick witted, learned quickly, and had a great sense of humor. These will  always be remembered by those she is survived by;  Sons, Laynne and Derek,  Daughters-­in-­law, ­Pam and Lisa , Sister­ Joyce (Leroy) , Brothers­ Mel (Peggy) and David (Pam). As  well as her grandkids Tonya (Mario), Casey (Tony), Kristie (Dustin), Tonja (Travis), Tabitha  (Chris), Aaron (Kristen), Sheryll, Michelle, Connie, Wayde, Brandey and many great-grandkids.    We are all comforted in knowing that she is now free of pain and with those she loved and lost.
Jo'n's life will be celebrated at  3:00 p.m., Thursday July 28, 2016, at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, 960 Eastland Drive, Twin Falls, Idaho.  She will be laid to rest in the Jerome Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome
