Bridger Baxter

Jerome- Bridger Cody Baxter, 37, of Jerome, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday October 26, 2016.  He was born October 16, 1979, in Provo, Utah, the son of Cody and Mydona Nielsen Baxter.  Bridger was raised in Jerome and graduated from Jerome High School in 1998.  Following high school, he moved to Boise where he played bass guitar with Coco Pele.  He was a talented musician and loved music.  He also enjoyed snowboarding.  Bridger took up disc golfing and it became his life.  He played every day regardless of the weather.  He will be remembered for his friendly disposition and infectious laugh.  He loved details and had a perfectionist personality.  Bridger was attending the College of Southern Idaho electrical apprenticeship program and was set to graduate in April.

Bridger is survived by his parents, Cody and Mydona Baxter of Jerome; his brothers and sisters, Jacob Baxter of Jerome, Lydia (Jon) Bartholomew of Erie, Colorado, Hesston Baxter , Cliff Baxter and Olivia Baxter, all of Jerome;  He was a spectacular uncle to Lydia and Jon's children, Cooper, Myla, Aliya, Brogan, Tayven and Declan; and Olivia's daughter, Ivy.  He is also survived by his grandmother, Donna Nielsen and his grandfather David Baxter; and many extended family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elizabeth Baxter and his grandfather, David Nielsen.

A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, November 1, 2016 , at the Jerome LDS 1st Ward Chapel, 825 East Avenue B, Jerome, where family and friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. , Wednesday November 2, 2016 , also at the Jerome LDS 1st Ward Chapel, with Bishop Tim Perry officiating.  A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Jerome Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
