Bryan Elliot Sturgeon

April 17, 1975 — May 20, 2025

IDAHO FALLS

Bryan Elliot Sturgeon sadly passed away on May 20, 2025, due to a heart condition. Bryan left this world way too soon at only 50 years old. He will be deeply missed by his loved ones. Bryan was born on April 17, 1975, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Joe and Sandra Sturgeon.

Growing up in Twin Falls made it easy for Bryan to enjoy some of his favorite activities. He loved to go exploring and hiking in the South Hills with his dad, younger brother, and nephew Trevor Lowe, who was like a little brother to Bryan with all of the time that they spent together growing up. Bryan's active imagination and curiosity led him to tell some interesting and fun stories during those hikes. Bryan learned to drive on the rough mountain roads and learned to shoot guns with his dad right beside him. Bryan loved to ride dirt bikes with his good friend, Brent. These adventures would always end up with Bryan coming home with a new injury from riding a little bit faster than he should have. Bryan cherished the time he got to spend with his family and friends.

Bryan’s Grandpa, Stan Sturgeon, was known around town for hand painting business signs, which intrigued Bryan at a young age. He started drawing due to the influence of his grandpa and became a very talented artist. Bryan loved to give his drawings as gifts to his loved ones. Bryan dreamed of drawing for Disney someday, but life took him in a different direction. Disneyland was one of his favorite places, not just for the rides and the fun characters, it was for his love of drawing and his dream of creating a new character for the most magical place on earth.

Bryan deeply loved his daughter, Justice. He cherished every moment he spent with her. He also loved his nieces and nephews; he acted like a big kid when he played with them. There were many times that they were worn out from playing with Uncle Bryan, before he was. He admired each of them for their unique personalities and talents.

The last few years of his life, he was able to experience the kind of love that many of us dream of. His girlfriend, Beth Hackman, showed him what unconditional love is. She saw Bryan for who he really was. The kind, sweet, thoughtful, and caring man he was. We are all grateful he was able to experience that kind of love, knowing that he was truly happy.

Bryan faced many challenges in his life, but anybody that knew Bryan could say two things about him. He was a protector and loyal to his friends and family.

Bryan loved to reminisce about his favorite memories from Christmas’ growing up, his mom's impressive Hallmark Collection, family vacations to Disneyland, and riding in the back of the station wagon laughing and joking with his siblings. He will forever be loved, and remembered for his goofy fun antics, his kindness, and his creative imagination.

Bryan is preceded in death by his father, Joe Sturgeon, who passed away on June 19, 2023. Bryan is survived by his mother; Sandra Sturgeon, his daughter; Justice Sturgeon, his five siblings; Brett Sturgeon, Lisa Cuellar (Joe), Suzanne Hutchinson (Jeff), his twin sister; Rebecca Powell, Bryce Sturgeon (Amy), and his girlfriend, Beth Hackman.

A graveside service and celebration of life will be held at 10:00 am Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding, Idaho, for family and friends. We are thankful to the Wood Funeral Home in Idaho Falls, and the Farnsworth Mortuary, in Jerome, for their assistance in his service.
