Charles Newlan

Jerome- Charles Eugene "Chuck" Newlan, 78, of Jerome, passed away Saturday January 9, 2016, in Twin Falls.  He was born September 6, 1937, in Jerome, Idaho, the son of Francis C. and Eva Roland Newlan.  Chuck graduated from Wendell High School in 1956 and then served his country in the United States Army.  He married Leila Pray and they raised one daughter, Cheri.  Most of Chuck's working years were spent in construction hanging drywall.  He enjoyed fishing, his cocker spaniels and especially spending time with family and friends.

Chuck is survived by his daughter, Cheri (Charles) Nush, of Round Lake, Illinois; four grandchildren, Ryan, Meghan, Jeremy and Kyle; one great-granddaughter, Isabella Jean; one sister, Helen Parris; one brother, Verdell Newlan; his special sister-in-law, Jean Newlan; and many extended family members and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. , Wednesday January 13, 2016 , at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln, Jerome, with Rev. Dick Goetsch presiding.  Interment will follow in the Jerome Cemetery.
