In Loving Memory of a Legend – Dean Krause.
Dean Krause, 58, finally found the one fishing spot he won’t share on June 15, 2025—and we suspect it’s catch-and-release only up there. A legend in his own mind, he was likely muttering his lifelong motto: “And that’s fine”.
A master of dad jokes, coin rings, and the art of metal detecting, Dean was a one-of-a-kind husband, dad, grandpa, brother, cousin and son.
He joined the love of his life, Tina Krause, and his brother, Douglas Krause. Leaving behind his parents, Dean and Dora Krause, who probably still don’t know where he learned half his jokes; his children, Brittany, Douglas (Amelia), and Leigha (Cooper), who carry on his unmatched gift of sarcasm, dry wit, and “just wingin’ it” parenting style; his grandkids, Bentley, Scarlett, Paisley, and Hudson who will forever remember him as the papa that let them get away with anything.
He was a hero to many, a friend to all, and the guy who never left the house without at least one pocket full of random treasures, a smirk, and a hug no one asked for—but everyone enjoyed.
He may be gone, but rest assured that somewhere out there he’s casting a line, finding ancient treasures, and saying “And that’s fine”
