Edmund Layton Webb III, at the age of 64, died peacefully in Twin Falls on May 26th 2025 surrounded by family, from an illness.
He was born on December 21, 1960 to Edmund (Ted) Webb, Jr. and Annette Rock in Boise, Idaho. He was the oldest of 6 brothers and sisters who looked up to him, and was regarded by those in his community to be a kind and respectable young man.
His family moved from Boise to Meridian before eventually settling in Marsing where Ed spent most of his childhood school years, graduating as valedictorian from Marsing High School. A talented athlete, Ed was also involved in many sports growing up including basketball, baseball, track, and wrestling. But his favorite sport was football.
Following high school, Ed went on to attend Rick’s College (now known as BYU-Idaho) for a year before serving a mission for the LDS church in Cleveland Ohio. After returning home, he went on to complete the rest of his schooling at BYU where he received his Bachelors of Science, and then a Masters of Business Administration at ISU.
Throughout his life, Ed had done a number of jobs working for various companies including the INEL (now INL), Micron PC, and Idaho Milk Products. He worked hard as a senior software engineer to provide well for his family. He married Jane Burman in 1987 in the Boise, Idaho temple and went on to have three children: Karissa, Teddy, and Annette. He enjoyed spending time with his family, whether it involved taking picnics out at the park, going on trips to Disneyland, or spending time roughhousing at home. An avid jogger, he would often take jogs in the morning and spend some time in nature: something he had loved even as a small boy going fishing and rock hounding with his ‘Pompa’.
Ed is preceded in death by his mother and father, and 8 aunts & uncles, and 2 nephews.
He is survived by his wife, Jane, as well as his children; Karissa Webb, Edmund (Teddy) Webb IV and his wife Shay, and Annette Webb, and his two grandchildren; Winston and Ember Webb. His step-mother Betty Webb. His sisters; Mary (Brian) Affleck and Debbie (Scott) Thomson, and brothers; Rocky (Celestin) Webb, Chip (Wendy) Webb, Scott (Mary) Webb, and David (Kimara) Webb. His step-sisters; Becky (Tyler) Steenblick and Susan (Derek) Guinn, and step-brothers; Sam (Syd) Gines, Ron (Robyn) Gines, David Gines, and Richard (Rachele) Gines. His in-laws from the Burman family. His aunts Julia Frost and Mary Thompson Ramstad and uncles Renn Rock and Sid Sagers, as well as his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 112 Randoph St. Melba, Idaho. Graveside service will follow at the Melba Cemetery.
