Eugene Fischer

March 9, 1932-October 15, 2015 JEROME | Eugene G. Fischer of Jerome, Idaho passed away October 15, 2015. Eugene was born March 9, 1932 in Meno, South Dakota to Paul and Frieda Fischer. He worked in the Nevada mines for a few years. He farmed and hauled hay while he worked construction. He helped build the Blue Lakes Mall, the Hansen Bridge and the Perrine Bridge. He worked for Miller Construction in the union for 25 years until his retirement. He enjoyed buying and restoring old cars. His favorite car was his 1956 pink Cadillac. Eugene is survived by his wife Joan Fischer of Jerome and six children; Shauna (Ken) Robertson of Reno, Nevada, Sherry Fischer of Jerome, Scott Fischer of Keniwick, Washington, Teresa (Ken) Geerdes of Jerome, Rose Greene of Jerome and Jennifer (Shane) Murphy of Castleford. He had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alma Barry of Twin Falls and Annetha Beamer of San Francisco, California, one brother, Marvin Fischer of Antioich, California. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Leonhard Fischer and son-in-law Robert Greene. A memorial service will be held on November 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S. Lincoln, Jerome, Idaho with Pastor Gene Kissenger
