Gary Fredrick Rawlings left this earth to join the love of his life of 64 years, our mom, Evelyn Darlene Rawlings.
Gary was born December 22, 1934, in Fossil, Wyoming, to Joseph and Geneva Rawlings. He served our country as an Airman 1st Class in the United States Airforce during the Korean War. He returned to Idaho and met his soulmate, Evelyn, and her six children. They resided in Jerome and decided six children were not enough and added three more!
Gary was a dedicated worker and was employed at Simplot Soilbuilders for over 30 years with numerous weekend side jobs. He definitely taught his children work ethics and pride. He taught his family loyalty and how to follow through with your word. He never accepted help from anyone, but he would be the first to offer help to others.
Gary had numerous grandkids, great grandkids, and great-great grandkids that would light up his life with every visit.
We love you dad and will miss you forever! Your now orphans thank you for being the greatest dad! Give all our loved ones in Heaven hugs from all of us!
Gary is survived by his sisters, Kathy, Susie, and Jackie; sister-in-law, Karen; children, Rita (Henry) Conklin, Lynn Shoemaker, Gordon Grove, Tim Grove, Jeffie Talbot, Terry (Kelly) Mcintyre, and Dana (Scott) Deadmond.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; two brothers; one sister; and sons, Bob Groves and Donald Grove.
At Gary's request there will be no funeral services, just a private family gathering at the cemetery.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Gary's memorial webpage at www.farnsworthmortuary.com.
