Gerald "Jerry" Wayment

September 26, 1938 — January 13, 2016

Jerome- Gerald Lee "Jerry" Wayment, 77, of Jerome, passed away Wednesday January 13, 2016, in Twin Falls.  He was born September 26, 1938, in Wendell, Idaho, the son of Samuel Edward Wayment and Gertrude Kirtland Wayment.  Jerry was raised in Jerome and attended schools there and later attended trade school in Salt lake City, Utah.  He served his country in the United States Army 25th Infantry Division.  On January 15, 1966, he married Irina Frances Strain, in Jerome, Idaho.  They had two sons.  Most of Jerry's working years were spent in the auto industry.  He owned and operated Jerry's Body Shop, Jerry's Towing Service and Jerry's Auto Sales.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Frances Wayment, of Jerome; their son, Klint Wayment, of Boise; one brother, Ted (Connie) Wayment, of Salt Lake City; and many extended family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Curtis Wayment.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. , Monday January 18, 2016, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln, Jerome, with Bishop Jeff Stoker officiating.  A visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in the Jerome Cemetery.
