Jeanette Rose (Lickley) [Gasdaska] Frazier passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026 in Tucson, AZ, surrounded by family.
Born in Jerome, ID, on February 25, 1938, Jeanette grew up as a farm kid on the family homestead, the first one north of the Snake River in the Magic Valley. She married her brother Larry’s best friend Joe Frazier at the age of 17. They moved to Moscow, ID, where she supported Joe through college at U of I while he studied forestry. She and Joe moved often to many ranger stations and very small towns in Idaho and Utah, and she had four boys along the way. The family's next big move was halfway around the world to Nairobi, Kenya, which had over 1 million people. She quickly made the house in Kenya a home. After 2 years in Africa, she and the family moved to Elko, Nevada. Finally, they moved back to the Lickley family homestead where she had grown up and met Joe. They eventually built a new home east of the old farmhouse. After Joe passed away in 2004, she moved to Tucson, where she met and later married George Gasdaska. Together they bought a house in Loveland, Colorado, where they spent a few summers.
Jeanette was religious and a member of the Methodist church in Jerome and Mountain View Baptist Church in Tucson. Together with Joe, they donated land to the Atlanta ID Chapel and to the after-school club at the Jerome High School. They also donated the Lickley family home, barn, and granary to the I-Farm Museum in Jerome to help preserve the family’s and Magic Valley’s history.
She is survived by her children Jordan (Pam), Jim, Jeff (Holly), and Joe (Jane), 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved sister Louise Lanell (Lickley) Gibbons of SLC, Utah.
She was preceded in death by husbands Joe Leroy Frazier (married 48 years) and George Gasdaska (married 12 years), and her brothers, Albert, Ray, and Larry Lickley.
She will be laid to rest next to husband, Joe Frazier in the Jerome Cemetery. Services will be held at the Farnsworth Mortuary on Nov. 7, 2026 at 11 am, followed by a reception at the Mountain View Barn (392 E 300 S, Jerome, ID) from 1-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the I-Farm Museum, which can be mailed to the Jerome County Historical Society at 212 E 1st Ave. Jerome, Idaho 83338.
