Jim Fox

December 18, 1951 — July 22, 2017

James Albert Fox

Jim Fox, passed away on July 22, 2017 after a 12 year fight with cancer. Jim was born December 18, 1951 in Red Bluff, California to John "Ab" Fox and Fern (Schutte) Fox.

Jim grew up in Corning, California on a dairy ranch, where he milked cows with his dad and rode his horse, Bonnie. Jim won several ribbons with his horse for several different events. Jim still would talk about his horse and his love of  horses. Jim was an athlete and loved sports, whether he was playing or just watching on TV.

After the family left Corning, and moved to Elgin, Oregon, Jim entered the United States Army. While Jim was in the Army the family moved to Wendell, Idaho. After Jim was discharged from the Army he lived in Oregon and then moved to Idaho working on dairies and eventually went into long-haul truck driving.

Jim moved to Lebanon, Oregon to work on a dairy and while there he began bowling. He met the love of his life, Jackie, at the bowling alley. On June 20, 1992, Jim and Jackie were married in Reno, Nevada while they were at a bowling tournament and they remained married for 25 years.

Eventually Jim returned to long-haul truck driving with Jackie in the passenger seat. They both became weary of that lifestyle and returned to Jerome where they made their home. Jim most recently drove truck for Healthy Earth/Magic Valley Compost, where his employer and co-workers became like family. Jim loved his job.

Jim's family and friends were very important to him. But most important of all was his wife, Jackie. He referred to her as his "Angel" and the "love of his life". Jim will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family and co-workers. Jim was loved by many, respected by his co-workers, and was a dedicated hard worker and a true friend.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents on both sides; and brother-in-law, David Inzerillo.

Jim was a loving husband to Jackie Inzerillo Fox for 25 years; a loving father to six: John, Jennifer, Rachelle, Tony, James, and Dustin; adopted father to Mark (Beverly) Dewitt and Chris (Kristine) Perrenoud; a Papa to many grandchildren and adopted grandchildren;  a brother to Karen (Brad) Nasura of Elgin, OR; Carol (Chuck) Jordan of Elk Grove Village, IL; Connie Fox of Wendell, ID; Diane Fox of Portland, OR; Dave (Jerri) Fox of Jerome, ID; and Debbie (Jimmie Jo) Stovall of Coos Bay, OR; a brother -in-law to Danny (Julie) Inzerillo; Robin (Mark) Johnson; and Dawn Coombs, all of Lebanon, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
