Joan Alesce Fischer

In loving memory of Joan Alesce Fischer. Born August 25, 1947, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and passed away on May 29, 2025, in her home in Buhl, Idaho, surrounded by her loved ones. 

Joan was raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma, with her family until her first marriage; she then moved to Missouri. In 1972, they moved to Idaho, where Joan lived until her departure to heaven. 

Joan worked as a CNA for most of her life. She also worked in various fields, including rock picking. Joan was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt. 

Joan left behind one sister, Alma Jean States; three daughters, Teresa Gendes, Rose Somrek, and Jennifer Murphy; three grandsons; eight granddaughters; 9 great-grandsons; 9 great granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death are her loving mom and dad, Alpha and Marie Burrows; three brothers, Billy Quinn, Jerry Burrows, and Charles Burrows; one sister, Nancy Brown; one granddaughter, Amanda Vodraska; and one grandson, Thomas Adams. 

Officiating Pastor will be Gene Kissinger at the Jerome Free Will Baptist Church, 810 South Cleveland, Jerome.
