Joe E. Agueda, 58, of Jerome passed away October 7, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital, Twin Falls. He was born January 20, 1963 in Topo, Jorge, Azores Portugal, the son of Adelino Agueda & Angela Azevedo Agueda.
Joe married Sandra Schwegerl May 23, 1987 at Holy Rosary Church, Hilmar, California. They lived in Turlock, California before moving to Wendell, Idaho in 1989, and then making their home in Jerome, Idaho in 1992 where they owned and operated Joe and Sandra Agueda Dairy, LLC.
Joe will be remembered as a wonderful man who was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved his family, friends, neighbors, and community. He was a generous dairyman who supported 4-H, FFA, and Magic Valley Dairy Heifer Program, along with several Jerome School sports and rodeo programs. We will deeply miss his warm smile, big hugs, and loud laughs.
Joe is survived by his wife, Sandra Agueda of Jerome; their children, Sarah, Greg, and Lori (Zach); his mother, Angela Azevedo Agueda of Turlock, CA; two siblings, Elizabeth Agueda Gonzales of Hilmar, CA and Tony Agueda (Amelia) of Hilmar, CA; nieces and nephews, Dillon Gonzales (Jessica) of Ceres, CA; Roddy Gonzales of Hilmar, CA; Vinny Agueda of Ripon, CA; Sammy Agueda (Mercedes) of Ripon, CA; Victor Agueda of Hilmar, CA; and Lillyanna Agueda of Hilmar, CA; goddaughter, Joesy Dias; and her mother, Katie Dias of Wendell; and many more beloved friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adelino Agueda of Hilmar, CA; and his father-in-law, Robert E. Schwegerl of Fremont, CA.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S. Lincoln Ave, Jerome. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 216 2nd Ave. E., Jerome, with Father Adrian Vazquez presiding. Graveside service will conclude at Jerome Cemetery.
