Joey Lloyd (Boulware) Davis, 56, of Jerome, Idaho, suddenly passed away at home on Easter, April 20, 2025.
Born on December 14, 1968, in Jerome, Joey was a true jack of all trades and a very talented man. Joey’s hard work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit were evident throughout his life. He owned and operated his own detailing business and a few years ago built and managed a manufacturing plant from the ground up. His talents extended beyond business. He was also an amazing painter and artist whose creativity and talents left a lasting impression.
Joey’s heart belonged to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joy Davis; his children, Rory Davis, Karlie Davis, Jody Martin, and Zakkery Martin; and his cherished grandchildren, Ryken Davis and Kamden Beltran. Joey always held a special place in his heart for his mother, Grandma Dot, and his second parents, Aunt Joyce and Uncle Frank Krahn, along with their wonderful children and families. He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Davis, his grandmother, and several aunts and uncles.
Family was the cornerstone of Joey’s life. Becoming a grandpa was one of his proudest accomplishments, a role he embraced with boundless love and playful affection. Those who knew him understood that if Joey teased you, it was simply another way he showed how much he loved you.
Outside of work and family life, Joey found joy in the simple pleasures of life: fishing trips with family members (he loved fishing at Billings Creek with Kamden and his Uncle Frank), riding motorcycles with his son Rory, working on cars, and driving fast while blasting his horrible 80s Rock and Roll music. He loved restoring old cars. His recent project was restoring a 1968 Chevelle from top to bottom, it was transformed into a real beauty, admired by many. His bright blue eyes sparkled with love and often mischief as he lived life to its fullest.
Hardworking, smart, loving, playful, Joey embodied these qualities every day of his life. He had an unwavering willingness to help anyone in need and left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Although he left us way too soon, Joey Lloyd Davis’s legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will continue to live on through those lives he touched. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.
A Celebration of Life at one of Joey’s favorite places in Idaho is being planned for a later date. He would want everyone to treasure life and live life to the fullest.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Joey’s memorial webpage at www.farnsworthmortuary.com.
