Joyce Dunn

Joyce Irene Dunn (Bizzle) was born April 21, 1938 in South Fulton, Tennessee. Joyce married Jesse Dunn on July 10, 1954 in Corinth, Mississippi. They lived in Michigan, California, Idaho, Oregon and Virginia. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Jerome, Idaho.

Joyce was very musical, and enjoyed being involved in many music groups in her churches. She served as a pastor’s wife in the Free Will Baptist Church, as well as teaching children’s church, Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and working in Youth Camps. She loved going to garage sales, decorating her home and jewelry. Joyce was a wonderful cook and had the gift of hospitality, welcoming many people into her home over the years. She taught her daughters to sing, and they became known as “The Singing Dunn Family” who brought joy to many people.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Dunn; daughters, Phyllis Dunn Hartle (Rob), Sandra Dunn Kissinger (Gene), and Melissa Dunn Everson (Greg). She has 13 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Cletus Bizzle and Nellie Bozarth Bizzle; her brother, William Glenn Bizzle; and her sister, Bessy Inez Bizzle Barton.

A viewing will be held from 5:00 till 7:00 pm, Monday, January 24, 2022 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Free Will Baptist Church, 810 S Cleveland Street, Jerome with a viewing beginning one hour prior.
