Kennith "Chet" Johnson

Kennith “Chet” Johnson, 56, of Jerome, Idaho passed away January 15, 2024. Chet was born November 3, 1967 in Anchorage, Alaska to Kennith and Kathy Thomas Johnson.

After graduating high school, Chet enlisted in the United States Navy, being honorably discharged after four years of service.

Chet was a dedicated employee of Soranco Bean Products for 11 years. He then worked for the City of Jerome. In his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, 4-wheeling, cooking, and football. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. But most of all, Chet enjoyed spending his time with his family. Chet married Paula Lynette Schrader on May 4, 2022. Paula, and his son, Kadyn, were the center of his life. Chet was also a devout member of Jerome Bible Baptist Church.

Chet was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Chester and Elizabeth Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Paula; son, Kadyn; immediate family, John and Bonnie Knapple and their families: Vance and Heather Church with Luke, Cooper, and Myra; Jacob and Sarah Tolman with Janessa and Andy; and Jessica and Jordan Eaves with Hadley; Monte and Betty Stoppello and their families: Jason and Monica Stoppello with Finley and Crosby; Juanita and John O’Dell and their families: Dwight and Darla Rarick with Tyrel and Brenda; and Nikole Scott (Joe Snyder); and Shirley and Gene Schafer and their families: Troy Dixon and Brian Petty; Tracy Dixon and Jenn with Roc and Kiara; and Travis and Jamie Dixon with Alyx and Teylor; as well as a large extended family.

A Celebration of Chet’s Life will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Jerome Bible Baptist Church, 132 2^nd Ave E. Jerome.
