Kimberly Ann Benson Tolman passed away from a brief illness on October 21, 2026, in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on November 23, 1975, in Pendleton, Oregon. She was a daughter, a wife, and an exceptional mother. Kim was a nurse/RN, as well as a friend and a mentor to all she met.
She wed Michael Gregory Small on September 26, 1998, and to this union came two daughters, Elizabeth Rachel Small and Rebecca Annaleigh Small. Kim and Mike were later divorced.
On June 5, 2010, she married the love of her life, Randall “Randy” Hewitt Tolman, and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Latter-day Saints Temple in Twin Falls, Idaho. At which time she added three additional children, Mandy Tolman, Hunter Tolman, and Catrina Tolman. The family was then blessed with two additional kiddos, Mollie Mae Tolman and, last but not least, Jacob Hewitt Tolman.
Kimberly loved to go camping and travel. The Oregon coast was a favorite place, rain or shine, even for brief visits. “There is nothing like toes in the sand and feet in the water.” She kept track of all the different states she had been in and she was on the verge of all fifty states. Kim and Randy were involved in various church activities.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Tolman; her mother, Helen Rector; father, Wayne Benson (Gail); siblings, Gina Haywood (Mycheal) and Ben Merrell (Monica); children, “Lizzy” Small (Iran Guerrerro), “Becky” Pifer (Hunter), Mandy Tolman, Hunter Tolman, “Nina” Tolman, Mollie Tolman, and Jacob Tolman; multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Gerald Tolman; and Randy’s brothers and spouses, Kevin Tolman (Heather), and JD Tolman (Eric Michaelis).
Kimberly will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her sweet spirit.
A viewing will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 am, Friday, October 30, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, 50 East 100 South, Jerome. Grave dedication will conclude at Jerome Cemetery.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Kim’s memorial webpage at www.farnsworthmortuary.com.
