Larry Green

Twin Falls- Larry Farrell Green, 69 of Twin Falls, passed away Monday August 8, 2016, in Jerome. He was born July 27, 1947, in Twin Falls, the first son born to Arriel F. and Merese Green.

Larry was raised in Twin Falls and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1966, where he met Guendolyn Carol Froschauer. They were married September 1, 1966. He attended The College of Southern Idaho, where he achieved his AS Degree in Auto Body. Larry served his country in the US Army during Vietnam and received an honorable discharge.

He returned home and later settled in West Jordan, UT, where they raised two sons. Larry was a "dough boy" and spent most of his working years with Metz Bakery and Wonder Bread.

They returned to Twin Falls in 2007, where he continued working for Lowe's Home Improvement until he retired.

He was a member of the LDS church where he served in several callings including his favorite, The Boy Scouts.

Larry loved yard work, helping others, camping, outdoor activities, and traveling with Guen. He enjoyed movies, and anyone who knew him, knew he was a "Trekkie." Most of all he loved his family and being called grandpa. He will be greatly missed. Larry is survived by his wife, Guen Green of Twin Falls, ID; two sons, Mike (Tina) Green of Modesto, CA, and Doug (Marcy) Green of West Jordan, UT; one grand son and five granddaughters; two brothers, A. Lynn (Emma) Green of Middleton, ID, and Lonnie Green of Cedar Hills, UT, and two sisters, Peggy (Allan) Whittekiend of Wendell, ID and Penny (Harlo) Park of Pleasant Grove, UT; and many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patrica.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. , Friday August 19, 2016 , in the Twin Falls LDS 17th Ward Chapel, 2680 Elizabeth Blvd , Twin Falls, I D, with Bishop Scott Rasmussen officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Wendell Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Farnsworth Mortuary of Jerome.
