Lucretia Kay Thomas, affectionately known as Chris to those who cherished her, passed away peacefully at her home in Jerome, Idaho, on May 28, 2026. Born on June 23, 1942, to Earl and Merna Henage, in the very town where she spent her final days, Lucretia’s life was a testament to dedication, family, and community spirit.
Chris’s journey was marked by her unwavering work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. She served her community with pride at the US Post Office, where her commitment to service was evident to all who knew her. Not one to rest on her laurels, she later became the owner and operator of Chris’ Pilot Car Service, a venture that showcased her leadership and determined nature.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Chris was a woman who treasured the simple, yet profound joys of life. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren, moments filled with laughter, love, and the warmth that only a grandmother’s embrace can provide. Camping was another passion of hers—a reflection of her adventurous heart and her deep appreciation for nature’s serene beauty.
Her family life was filled with love, though touched by sorrow. She is lovingly remembered as the beloved wife of the late Michael Hagan; a devoted grandmother to her granddaughter, Alisha Nab; a thoughtful sister to siblings, Walter, Barbara, and Beverly; and a precious daughter to her parents, Earl and Merna Henage, who have all preceded her in death.
In her surviving family, Chris leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Randy Dale and Jenelle Nab; son, Robin Nab; grandchildren, Lisa, Rory, Emily, Lucretia "Kristie", and Andrew; great grandchildren, Kardaly, Bobbi, Sara, Alex, Jamal, Jasmine, Rory, Jr., Shalae, and Isabella; as well as great great grandchildren, Kalli and Danniella.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome, Idaho. This gathering will offer family, friends, and the community a moment to honor and remember a remarkable woman who touched so many lives.
Lucretia Kay Thomas’s story is one of resilience, warmth, and unyielding affection for those she held dear. Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her memory will continue to inspire and comfort all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her soul find eternal peace, just as she found tranquility in her final moments at home.
