Marion O'Dell Shotswell

Marion “Shots” O’Dell Shotswell was born in Lamar, Arkansas on November 17, 1943 to Scott Marian and Lillian Pearl Shotswell.

Shots enjoyed fishing as a kid with his mother. Shots was formerly married to Carol Hackett, mother of Dave and Dean; Genene Easley, mother of Cheri; and Peggy Gerberding.

He held multiple delivery jobs, retiring from UPS after 28 years in December 1998. He moved to Idaho in 1999 to be near his children and grandchildren.

Shots enjoyed shooting pool, poker, boating, fishing, karaoke and in his younger years he competed in bowling and trick waterskiing, winning several awards and trophies. But time with his family was what he enjoyed the most of all.

Shots was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Duan; and two sisters, Reba and Sue.

Shots is survived by his sons, Dave Shotswell (Dawn) of Magic Reservoir and Dean Shotswell (Cindy) of Kimberly; daughter, Cheri Curtsinger (Tom) of Kent, WA; and all his many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Papa Shots”.

Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Stone House & Co., 330 4th Ave S, Twin Falls, ID 83301 https://stonehouseeventcenter.com.The family is asking that you share your favorite memory of Shots at the service.
