Beloved Wife, Mother, and Friend.
Mary Jane Gibson, 80, of Twin Falls, Idaho, formally of Jerome, Idaho, passed away August 27, 2025. She was born December 6, 1944, to John William Lamp and Carrie Isabell Knapp in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Mary moved to Missouri in 1950. She quit school after the 9th grade to get a job as a maid in a hotel, where she made fifty cents an hour. Later, she worked as a carhop at the “Dairy King” and the Roller Rink. She married Russle Leon Wilson in 1963, and had one daughter, June, in 1968.
Mary worked as a production worker in a Chicken Plant and moved back to Idaho in 1972, where she started working in the fish hatcheries in Filer and Buhl. She started working at Tupperware in 1973, and worked there for thirteen and a half years. Her first husband, Russle, passed away in 1984, and she later married Robert Neal “Hoot” Gibson in 1988. They had thirty-five great years together until he passed. Mary’s last job was working for Solo Cup Company, where she retired in 2005.
Mary is survived by one daughter, June (Gordon) Leininger of Jerome; brothers, Bill (Donna) Lamp and Fred (Sue) Lamp; stepsons, Bob (Marie) Gibson of Mountain Home, Idaho, and Tom (Kathy) Gibson of Mesa, Arizona; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; thirteen great-grandkids; and one great-great grandson.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Jerome Senior Center, 520 North Lincoln Ave, Jerome. There will be a potluck dinner, so please bring your favorite dish to share.
