McKinley "Bill" Jones

November 18, 1932 — January 20, 2022

McKinley “Bill” Jones passed away January 20, 2022 in Jerome, Idaho. Bill was born November 18, 1932 to Wiley and Clara Blevins Jones in McAlpin, West Virginia. He was the third of 13 children. His adventurous youth led to his productive business resulting in a significant contribution to his family’s food and finances.

Bill enlisted in the military at the age of 17. He served in Korea and earned several medals. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He soon became an electrical engineer when there were only room-size computers for which he designed applications and sold those computers to the larger industries that used them. He eventually helped those industries by creating a business to recruit and pay top computer talent for their major projects.

Bill’s favorite activities were trailblazing, exploring, and camping in the mountains where he prospected for gold, fished, and meditated in natures great outdoors whenever he could.

He was a respectable and honorable man. He was a kind, understanding, and gentle man with an incredible sense of humor. He loved his family, was loved by many, and will be missed dearly.

Bill is survived by his wife, Charlotte Jones; daughters, Felicia Brosious of Twin Falls, Idaho; and Briana Low of Wendell, Idaho; and two grandchildren.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Bill’s memorial webpage at www.farnsworthmortuary.com.
