Pamela Scarrow

Pamela Joy Scarrow became an angel after losing her battle with cancer, on June 15, 2017. Pamela was born on June 13, 1957 in Jerome, Idaho to Gerald Ray and Verna Joy (Short) Scarrow. She attended school in Jerome, Idaho graduating from Jerome High in 1976.

Pam had a great love of people and found her calling in the nursing field early as a candy striper and later as an LPN. She began her college experience in Kirkland, WA attending Northwest Bible College. After climbing many mountains he finally succeeded in reaching her goal and graduated from the nursing program at CSI in Twin Falls Idaho.

After a long career in nursing Pam began working with children as a teacher’s aide at Bickel Elementary. She was also a foster parent with her daughter Jennifer for many years, as well as a leader in Faith Weavers and 4-H, helping to change the world one child at a time.

She attended church at the Lighthouse Church in Twin Falls, Idaho where she was the leader of the adopt a family program seeing to it that many families received food for the holidays.

Pamela was preceded in death by her mother, Verna Joy (Short) Scarrow; her paternal grandparents, Adrian E. and Maie (Bateman) Scarrow; and maternal grandparents, Solon Grady and Cecila Jane (Thorne) Short.

She is survived by her children, Jennifer McNeil, Twin Falls; Gerald and Rebeka McNeil, Jerome; and Sarah Scarrow, Twin  Falls; her six grandchildren, Michael, Abigail, Jonathan, Ellie, Jaylin and Riley; and many precious foster children in both Idaho and California; her father, Gerald Ray Scarrow, Jerome; two brothers, Bob and Teri Anne(Chisham) Scarrow, of Jerome; and Rocky and Kelley (Green) Scarrow of Jerome; two sisters, L Jane Mason (Bryan Mason) of Nevada; and Sheila Maie Coverdale (John Coverdale) of Nampa; and many nieces and nephews.

Pamela's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our family and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Pam will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Lighthouse Christian Church, 960 Eastland Dr, Twin Falls, Idaho, with a viewing one hour prior to service. Graveside services will conclude at Jerome Cemetery, Jerome, Idaho.
