Randall Ray Stuhlberg

On July 2, 2025, Randy decided he had finally had enough of the pain — and let it all go. While we are relieved that he is no longer suffering, we will deeply miss him and his signature bluntness.

Randy was born on March 21, 1949, in Wendell, Idaho, to Arthur and Vessie Stuhlberg. He spent his early years working the farm with his dad. He later served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967 to 1970 and the Air Force until 1972 with 12 months serving in Vietnam. After his military service, he returned home to Jerome and began his career as a truck driver — a job that perfectly suited his independent spirit.

In 1975, Randy married Colleen, and together they had one daughter, Nichole. He legally adopted Colleen’s daughter, Lisa. Though their marriage later ended in divorce, Randy and Colleen remained friends until her passing in 2024.

Randy continued driving a truck until a back surgery forced him into retirement — where he happily did, in his own words, “not a damn thing!” He spent the last two years of his life in Twin Falls, where he formed a close bond with his son-in-law, Denny “Bub.” Denny visited him daily after work, always keeping him stocked with the essentials — Mountain Dew and cookies. Those visits were something Randy looked forward to and cherished. He also maintained a relationship with his stepdaughter Lynn, who he cared deeply for.

I will always be proud to be a “Daddy’s girl” and will hold tightly to the memories we made. You loved me fiercely, Dad, and I will carry that love with me for the rest of my life. I love you.

A special thank you to his dear friends, Bev and Shay, for the love and companionship they gave him in his final years, and to his hospice nurses, Kristi and Isabella, who lovingly annoyed him week after week.

Randy is survived by his daughter, Nichole; son-in-law, Denny; granddaughter, Alysa; grandsons, Logan (Dana) and Tyler; great-granddaughter, Emma; and his brother, Ron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Vessie; his wife, Dee; his daughter, Lisa; his brother, Larry; sister, Carol and one nephew, Chris.
