BELLEVUE

Rocky Lloyd Jackson, formerly of Jerome, passed away on August 22, 2025, after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Rocky was born on March 19, 1952, at St. Benedict’s Hospital on its opening day. He was the youngest child of Willard Glen and Claribel (Smith) Jackson of Jerome, joining older siblings Elaine, Layne, and Bob.

Rocky graduated from Jerome High School and attended Idaho State University. He began his career with Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph in 1972 and spent more than 40 years with the phone company, serving communities across the Magic Valley.

Rocky served the City of Jerome in local government and devoted much of his life to his community through Optimist International. After moving to the Boise area in 1997, he continued his service by volunteering at the Meridian Food Bank.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, two grandchildren, and his sister Elaine. He was preceded in death by his parents and both brothers.

In lieu of a funeral, a charity event benefiting local children will be held this fall in Jerome, honoring Rocky’s final wishes.

Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Rocky’s memorial webpage at www.farnsworthmortuary.com.
