Ronald William Burks

Ronald William Burks, “Ronnie”, 85 of Jerome passed away December 2, 2023. Ronnie was born September 28, 1938 in Jerome to Robert F. Burks, Sr. and Ella (Dees) Burks Petholtz.

Ronnie attended and graduated from the Idaho School for the Deaf and Blind. After high school, he worked for Capps Trucking and Tupperware.

Ronnie married Karlene Halverson on June 22, 1976 in Jerome. They enjoyed fishing and camping with family and friends. Ronnie was an avid bowler and loved BBQing.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Karlene (Halverson) Burks; brothers, Robert F. Burks, Jr., Frank Burks, and Gerald “Jerry” Burks; as well as his sister-in-law, Linda Morrey.

He is survived by his nieces, Victoria Burks Alden, Valerie (Burks) Raney, and Dianne Alves; his nephew, James Morrey; and many dear friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Jerome Cemetery, Jerome, Idaho.
