Samuel Allphin

Samuel Owen Allphin age 78 of Twin Falls, Idaho went home to join his wife Lonna in Heaven on February 8, 2018. He was born in Spanaway, Washington on July 27, 1940 one of 12 children born to William Owen Allphin and Marie Corsi Allphin.

Sam served in the United States Army in Vietnam where he was exposed to Agent Orange that contributed to his later health problems. He married Lonna Hansen on October 11, 1970 in Ely, Nevada and became the father to her 2 daughters, later adding 3 grandchildren to their family. He was a truck driver with Amalgamated Sugar and Keegan’s for most of his life.

Sam is survived by his two brothers, Richard (Viola) of Jerome and Robert “Bob” of Twin Falls; his sister, Lorraine Papetti of Pocatello; children, David Allphin, C orena McLaughlin and Jackie Stockham; grandchildren, Cathy Friel, Tracy Friel, and Nikki Barajas; and great grandchildren, Jaden Friel, Michael Friel, Aleksander Stedman, Tia Cserepes, Tamra Cserepes, and David Cserepes. He was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers and sisters, and his wife Lonna.
