Sheldon Taylor

February 5, 1960 – July 8, 2016

JEROME - Sheldon W. Taylor, 55, of Jerome, our  much-loved father, son, brother and husband passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 surrounded by family.

Sheldon was born in Jerome, Idaho on February 5, 1960 to Bill and Alice Taylor. As Bill was in the Navy, Sheldon was raised in numerous locations across the country, until the family eventually returned and settled in Jerome.

After High School, Sheldon served in the Navy as well, stationed in California. After leaving the Navy he resided in Sacramento where he met and married Judi Van Houten; they later divorced though remaining great friends. Sheldon returned to Idaho, where he lived and worked around the Magic Valley installing and maintaining sprinkler systems.

Sheldon was preceded in death by his father Bill, brother Les, and grandmother Fern. He is survived by his wife Raylene Hulsey Taylor of Jerome, daughter Tawnya Taylor, son James (Elexis) Taylor, and grandchildren JD and Bailey all of Sacramento; stepchildren Britney, Brad, and Austen, mother Alice Merkley, siblings Harvey (Debbie) Taylor, Cheryl Taylor Sturgeon, Kelly Taylor, and Brandi Taylor (Drew) Spaulding all of Jerome, and dear friends Judi and Joe Brown of Sacramento.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday July 13, 2015, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln, Jerome, Idaho.
