Victoria Cervantes

Victoria R. Cervantes 53, of Jerome, passed away unexpectedly Monday May 8, 2017 at Saint Alphonsus Hospital in Boise Idaho. She was born August 26, 1963 in Jerome Idaho, the daughter of Barbara K. Zamarripa and Ramon G. Zamarripa.

Vicky grew up in Twin Falls, was the eldest of six children, attended Twin Falls High School and was a stay at home mom. She raised her children and granddaughter in Jerome. Vicky was also a care giver for her mother for nine years. She was a fashionable lady who loved getting dolled up and hitting the dance floor.

Vicky enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She also enjoyed listening to music, attending rodeos, jaripeos and concerts with friends and family. She will be remembered as a free spirit, strong willed and a straight shooter. Vicky is loved by her entire family and will be dearly missed. She is off to find her cowboy in the sky.

Vicky is survived by her three children, Amador Cortez of Boise; Sylvia Tapia of Twin Falls; and Shawn Christopher Cortez (Janell) of Buhl. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jocelyn, Jade, Julian, Jaliya, Jojo and Jayce; four sisters, Norma Zamarripa Prado, Mae Martinez, Nikcole K. Zamarripa and Stephinee Fernandez-Martinez; one brother, Ramon “Bubby” G. Zamarripa; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and extended family members and friends.

Vicky was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 4:00 pm, Wednesday May 17, 2017, at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 South Lincoln Avenue, Jerome, Idaho, with a visitation beginning at 2:00 pm.
