Zona Christine "Chris" Cobble

February 25, 1927 — July 2, 2016

Jerome- Zona Christine "Chris" Cobble, 89, of Jerome, passed away Saturday July 2, 2016, at her home.  She was born February 25, 1927, in Oneida, Tennessee, the daughter of Thomas Graden West and Eva Boyatt West.  Chris was raised in Tennessee and attended schools there.  While working in Nashville, she met Joseph A. Baumgartner and they were married in December of 1943.  Following Joe's Honorable Discharge, they moved to Idaho where they raised three children.  They were later divorced.  Chris married Ray Cobble and they settled in Jerome.  They had a daughter who preceded them in death.

Chris enjoyed gardening and canning, traveling and crocheting and was an avid bowler.  She is survived by three children; Ken (Kay) Baumgartner of Boise, Curt (Holly) Baumgartner of Park City, UT, and Donna (Leigh) Brinkerhoff of Meridian.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one sister, Joyce (Clarence) Burnett, and many extended family members and friends.  She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister, Lucille and two brothers, Kenneth and Donald.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. , Friday July 8, 2016 , at Farnsworth Mortuary Chapel, 1343 South Lincoln, Jerome, Idaho.  Interment will follow in the Elmwood Gooding Cemetery. www.farnsworthmortuary.com
