Evelyn Rawlings

Heaven’s doors opened on April 18, 2021, just three days shy of her and Gary Rawlings’ 60th Wedding Anniversary.

Evelyn Darlene Rawlings was born April 2, 1935 in Wendell, Idaho to Jay and Ruby Vinson. She was the oldest of four children. Evelyn lived a fulfilled life in Jerome and raised nine children. Wherever she worked she made many friends and touched the hearts of countless others. She was an inspiration to her many grandkids and great grandkids.

Evelyn is survived by her husband, Gary Rawlings; her brother, Kenny Vinson and sister-in-law, Alice Vinson; brother-in-law, David Best; and her children, Rita (Henry) Conklin; Bob (Jackie) Groves; Lynn Shoemaker; Gordon Grove; Tim Grove; Jeffie Talbot; Terry (Kelly) McIntyre; and Dana (Scott) Deadmond.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and a sister; and son, Donald Grove.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, April 23, 2021 at Farnsworth Mortuary, 1343 S Lincoln Ave, Jerome. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Farnsworth Mortuary. A reception will follow at the Jerome Senior Center, 520 N Lincoln Ave, Jerome.

The family wishes to extend its gratitude for the love and care that Dr. Joseph Ippolito, Hospice Visions, and Creekside Care Center provided to Evelyn.
