We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Farnsworth Mortuary & Crematory
Wayne Albert Harris, of Jerome, Idaho was taken from us on November 2, 2021, after many years of decaying health. He was born in Coronado, California on May 12, 1960 to Albert Henry Harris III and Carol Jean Rose.
Being born into a Navy family, he grew to want that life for himself. He served for 20 of the most exciting years of his life in the Navy. He was stationed in San Diego where he had spent time as a kid and where his father was stationed. He lived there with his former wife and 3 children. He trained and learned many important things that he used throughout his life.
After his military retirement he met Lisa when they were working at Spears Manufacturing. They were married on May 17, 2003, then sealed in the LDS Logan temple, and he adopted Melisa as his second daughter. He loved to introduce Lisa as his bride, no matter how long they were married, or his Amazon Queen, knowing that it embarrassed her.
Shortly after they were married, he joined the electrical union and earned his Journeyman's electrical license and was very proud of that accomplishment. It meant he could continue to do what he loved to do in the Navy. His special interests were vehicles and motorcycles; his favorite being Harleys. He just loved watching movies, especially old movies and military movies. He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Before he became sick, he loved to go on road trips and go camping, so he could spend time with his kids.
He is loved and will be missed all his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Carol and Lynn Deno; and his father, Albert Henry Harris. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Harris; sons, Patrick (Solmaira) Dela Cruz and Timothy (Caprice) Harris; and daughters, Sarah (Jeffree) Souza and Melisa Harris. He is also survived by five special grandchildren he dearly loved: Rolan, Richie, Renzel, Dresden and Davina.
A memorial graveside service, with well-deserved military honors, will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Jerome Cemetery, Jerome, Idaho.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family on Wayne’s memorial webpage at www.farnsworthmortuary.com.
